Steve Escobar, DVM

Steve-Escobar Dr. Escobar is a 1990 graduate of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (VMRCVM) at Virginia Tech.  He received the prestigious “Outstanding Young Alumnus Award” from the college in 2001.

Dr. Escobar served as President of the Central Virginia Veterinary Medical Assoication (CVVMA) in 1995 and has been Legislative Chair for the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association (VVMA) for a decade.  He served on the Executive Committee of the VVMA for four years, and as President in 2004.  Dr. Escobar was a member of the Dean Search Committee for the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 and served as a member of the Admissions Committee for the college for one year.

SpringfieldVet 40.jpg He has a special interest in canine reproductive medicine and is a member of the Society for Theriogenology, VVMA, AVMA, and AAHA.  In 2007 Dr. Escobar received the VVMAs Distinguished Virginia Veterinarian Award.
